Thomas the Tank Engine

Thomas is the central character in HIT Entertainment's Thomas & Friends. He stars in his own line of toys, books and videos—even a feature film! The stories were created in the 1940's by the Reverend W. Awdry to entertain his son, Christopher, while he was sick with the measles. (Learn more about Thomas the Train history.)

Thomas is a cheeky little blue engine who wears #1 on his side. Joining him in his adventures on the Island of Sodor are his engine friends, including cheerful Percy, moody James and the proud but boastful Gordon.
