Learning Curve has announced the introduction of Scruff to the Thomas the Tank Engine Wooden Railway System. Scruff will be available in specialty toy stores in December, 2010. He is a steam engine painted bright green with dark green stripes. His name is on gold plates on his sides. He has a "scruncher" which comes in handy for his work hauling trash. He works at with Whiff at Whiff's waste dump. Like Whiff, he doesn't mind being dirty and thinks working with trash is the best!

Scruff will be introduced in Season 14 of the Thomas & Friends TV Series, set to broadcast in November on PBS in the United States. He will star along with Thomas in the episode "Thomas and Scruff" and also in the episode "O the Indignity".
